Live data
Scores come from three free sources — CricketData.org, Highlightly and SportMonks. Background jobs on our server fetch them for everyone and take turns during live matches, so scores update every 1–2 minutes (every 30 seconds for T20 internationals and the Big Bash League). Every score is stored, so pages load instantly and results build up our match history.
News
Headlines are collected from publishers' free RSS feeds (ESPNcricinfo, BBC Sport and Google News), refreshed every 15 minutes. We show the headline and summary and always link to the original story.
How predictions are calculated
- Before the match — each team's last 10 results, batting and bowling strength (average runs scored and conceded per innings), head-to-head record and venue scoring. When our editors publish a preview, their estimate is used.
- First innings, live — the projected total (current run rate and wickets in hand) against par for the venue, blended with the pre-match estimate.
- During a chase — runs needed, balls left and wickets in hand.
- Every prediction shows the reasons, how many matches each is based on, the model's confidence, when the data was last updated and what's missing.
Every prediction page lists the exact factors used. Predictions are for information and entertainment only.
